Supporting Large-Scale Logistic Hub Growth

As demand for large-scale warehousing continues to grow, ICP Piles was proud to support one of ASEAN’s largest green certified logistic hub developments in Shah Alam, with approximately 2.8 million sq ft completed to date and a planned total of 6 million sq ft of net lettable area upon full completion. Piling works were carried out from October 2023 to April 2024, forming the foundation for a major logistics asset built to serve today’s fast-moving supply chain requirements.

Overcoming Challenging Ground Conditions

The site exhibited a highly variable ground profile, together with the project’s high loading demands, this required a reliable foundation system capable of adapting to changing subsurface conditions while maintaining consistent load-bearing performance and long-term structural stability. ICP spun pile was selected over other deep foundation systems for its cost efficiency and faster installation, while ICP Piles Grade 100 and Special Thick Wall Piles were adopted in areas with good soil bearing capacity to optimise load performance.

Efficient and Quality Pile Installation

The project comprised over 5,000 pile points, ranging from 250mm to 600mm in diameter, including Class A & B, Grade 80, with both standard and special thick wall spun piles. Given the surrounding residential areas, commercial shops, and factories, the injection method was used to minimise noise and vibration during installation. With an average piling rate of 70 points per day, the works were completed on schedule.
