Reducing Embodied Carbon
Sustainability was embedded from the earliest planning stages, with ICP Piles targeting GreenRE Platinum certification for the facility. The factory achieves a CIDB IBS score exceeding 70%, reflecting our commitment to transforming the way industrial facilities are built.
Green construction materials play a key role in reducing embodied carbon. Green concrete is used throughout the construction of the facility, helping to lower overall carbon emissions. In addition, the use of eco-labelled materials across offices and production areas reflects our commitment to responsible sourcing and improved environmental performance.
Reducing Operational Carbon
Sustainability continues throughout the factory’s operations. Solar panels generate renewable energy to power daily operations, helping reduce long-term carbon emissions. EV charging stations are also provided, supporting the transition towards electric mobility—including the use of electric forklifts within the factory.
Water management systems are thoughtfully integrated into the facility. Stormwater systems reduce runoff and flood risk, while rainwater harvesting and water-efficient fittings help conserve water and support landscape irrigation.
Environmental controls are incorporated into the production process as well. Enclosed silos and batching plants for better pollution control, while a water recycling pond collects and treats used water for reuse. For pile curing, ICP Piles has developed an air-curing process that eliminates the need for fossil fuels, setting a new benchmark for the industry and demonstrating our commitment to innovation and sustainable manufacturing.
